LightJet Printing

Come see the only LightJet printer on the island!

Océ LightJet printers use continuous tone photographic media, which means, each point on an image can be any shade of 68 billion colours. The higher range of possible colours results in more accurate representation of color-sensitive subjects such as skin tone.

The internal drum technology ensures more uniform image quality across the entire width of the print, highest geometric accuracy, better image sharpness, highest density range and excellent colour uniformity.

Media available:
Fuji Crystal Archive Matte, Glossy, Flex (metallic)
Fuji Trans (Back lit display material with diffuser)
Fuji Clear Film Base
Kodak Ultra Endura Lustre and Glossy

Drum Scanning

Highest quality scan available. There really is nothing better than a drum scan. Our Howtek HiResolve 8000 has a true dynamic range of 4.2. It uses a matched set of photomultiplier tubes (one each for red, green, and blue), each more sensitive than the CCD elements in other scanners. These photomultipliers read every single pixel in the entire image, unlike a CCD scanner that has thousands of individual CCD elements, each reading a separate part of the image. Thus a drum scan will provide sharper scans with less noise than even the best CCD scanners.

Roll Scanning

Want an easy way to make prints? An excellent way to combine traditional film process while staying up to date with digital. Scanned files are 18mb each, producing up to an 8X12 nicely. CD includes an email ready folder. Roll scans can be done at time of processing, or as long as the film is in strips of 4 or more. Applies to all 35mm and APS film.

Slide Output from file

Make slides from your files. Excellent for advertising on the big screen, or even the small screen Dimensions for files: 4096 pixels x 2731 pixels to create a 32 mb file. Tiff format, no layers.
